World Richest man, Elon Musk has given ultimatum to US federal workers to respond to email stating their achievements in the previous week or get fired.
While this did not sit well with many who believed Elon Musk who is not a government worker has no right to demand for such,many supported him.
Elon Musk Leads The Department Of Government Efficiency, D.O.G.E.
According to Wikipedia, The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is a temporary organization within the US government, established by the Trump administration to identify and eliminate government waste, fraud, and inefficiencies ¹. Its primary goal is to modernize federal technology and software, maximize governmental efficiency and productivity, and reduce unnecessary regulations and expenditures.

Furthermore, the president was pleased with musk activities which has saved more money for the US in the last one month and urged him to be more ruthless.

Musk in multiple post on x listed out some reasons why he gave the ultimatum which includes, stopping ghost workers and corruption.
According to him, “The reason this matters is that a significant number of people who are supposed to be working for the government are doing so little work that they are not checking their email at all!
In some cases, we believe non-existent people or the identities of dead people are being used to collect paychecks. In other words, there is outright fraud.”
In addition, Musk carried out a plebiscite on his X post asking people to make a choice over the ultimatum.
“Should all federal employees be required to send a short email with some basic bullet points about what they accomplished last week?
The poll have 71% supporting his decision and 29% who were against it.
In Summary, the FBI has directed it’s workers not to reply to Elon Musk’s questions citing security reasons.
